Each month, the H\u00f4tel West End****<\/a> highlights one of its team members through a series of questions, offering insight into their role and what motivates them in their daily work. Today, the hotel introduces Caroline Bergen, Commercial Director of the 3A Hotels Collection<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Could you introduce yourself and tell us about your role within the 3A Hotels group?<\/h3>\n

My name is Caroline Bergen, and I am the Commercial Director of the 3A Hotels Collection. In Nice, the group brings together several iconic establishments: H\u00f4tel Beau Rivage, Plage Beau Rivage, H\u00f4tel Aston La Scala, R\u00e9sidence Aston La Scala, and H\u00f4tel West End. We also manage a Mercure hotel located near Versailles.<\/p>\n

My role is structured around two main areas. On the one hand, business development: I manage and nurture our existing client network while actively working to acquire new partners. On the other hand, I oversee a broader marketing dimension, focusing on the group\u2019s brand image, establishing partnerships, and implementing communication initiatives in collaboration with our press agency, AZ Nice.<\/p>\n

What do you find most rewarding about your job?<\/h3>\n

No two days are alike, and that is precisely what I love about it. I am deeply passionate about the combination of strategy, human connection, and emotion. Designing commercial strategies that have a tangible impact on the group\u2019s performance, while showcasing the identity and soul of each of our hotels, is incredibly stimulating.<\/p>\n

Hospitality is, above all, a human adventure. Understanding guest expectations, anticipating market trends, building lasting partnerships, and guiding teams toward a shared objective are key drivers for me. Each property has its own uniqueness, and this diversity makes my daily work especially enriching.<\/p>\n

How do you collaborate with the teams at the different hotels?<\/h3>\n

My role involves a great deal of mobility. Beyond emails and phone calls, I am very often on-site. Having been part of the group for several years, relationships have developed naturally, and collaboration today is very smooth and seamless.<\/p>\n

What advice would you give to a new team member?<\/h3>\n

Work with passion. We are in the service industry\u2014you have to genuinely enjoy working with people, be attentive to others, and find satisfaction in creating positive experiences. Without that, it simply doesn\u2019t work.<\/p>\n

In your opinion, what is the 3A Hotels group\u2019s greatest strength for travelers?<\/h3>\n

Without hesitation, its diversity. Our establishments are very different from one another, whether in terms of location, atmosphere, or services. I like to think that whatever our guests\u2019 needs or desires may be, we always have a suitable answer.<\/p>\n

What is your favorite place at the H\u00f4tel West End, and why?<\/h3>\n

The view from the Deluxe rooms on the 6th floor. Standing on the balcony, time seems to stand still\u2014you feel suspended between sky and sea. It is simply a magical moment.<\/p>\n

What sets the H\u00f4tel West End apart from the group\u2019s other properties?<\/h3>\n

Its location, of course, with its exceptional sea view, but also its history. It was the first hotel built on the Promenade des Anglais and has preserved all the charm of the Belle \u00c9poque. Staying at the H\u00f4tel West End is like taking a true journey back in time, filled with glamour and elegance.<\/p>\n

Do you have a particularly memorable experience within the group that you would like to share?<\/h3>\n

There are so many! We operate like one big family, and we have shared countless moments together\u2014both professional and personal.<\/p>\n

What advice would you give guests to make the most of their stay in Nice?<\/h3>\n

I would first and foremost advise them to take the time to embrace the city\u2019s rhythm. Wander through the narrow streets of Old Nice, admire a sunrise or sunset from the Promenade des Anglais, and savor the local gastronomy\u2026 Nice is full of hidden gems, and it would truly be a shame not to enjoy them to the fullest.<\/p>\n

Venez admirer le Roi, la Reine et leurs sujets et participer aux extravagants d\u00e9fil\u00e9s de chars, de grosses t\u00eates et aux \u00e9l\u00e9gantes Batailles de Fleurs.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Pendant 15 jours, le Carnaval de Nice, avec ses deux manifestations\u00a0: les Corsi carnavalesques (de jour ou de nuit) et les Batailles de fleurs, imposera son style et vous offrira un spectacle burlesque, magique et initiatique d\u00e9di\u00e9 \u00e0 la mode sous toutes ses coutures.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Les chars cr\u00e9\u00e9s sur le th\u00e8me d\u00e9fileront lors des Corsi carnavalesques (mardis, samedis et dimanche), accompagn\u00e9s de grosses t\u00eates et d\u2019artistes venant du monde entier dans une ambiance festive et populaire, savamment sc\u00e9nographi\u00e9e, pour revisiter l\u2019histoire de la mode, vous faire rire, sourire mais aussi r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir sur la mode et ses dessous. Car si la mode lance des tendances et bouleverse les codes comme les comportements, elle a aussi un r\u00f4le \u00e9thique et responsable \u00e0 jouer.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Les mercredis et samedis apr\u00e8s-midi, venez d\u00e9couvrir l\u2019autre temps du fort du Carnaval\u00a0: les Batailles de Fleurs o\u00f9 le th\u00e8me sera d\u00e9clin\u00e9 sur des chars orn\u00e9s de fleurs valorisant la production locale (80% des fleurs sont produites dans la r\u00e9gion) et anim\u00e9s par des com\u00e9diennes qui porteront des costumes sp\u00e9cialement con\u00e7us pour la manifestation.
