The H\u00f4tel West End, a member of the 3A H\u00f4tels La Collection group, marked 2024 with some unique initiatives and events. With 2025 looking promising, here’s a look back at some of the highlights that have marked the life of this iconic establishment on the Promenade des Anglais.<\/p>\n
For the second year running, the H\u00f4tel West End has been awarded the prestigious Clef Verte label, confirming its commitment to the environment. In July, the hotel teamed up with the Paddle Cleaner association from Nice for a campaign to raise awareness of eco-actions. For two days, educational stands were set up in front of the group’s establishments, including the West End, to encourage the preservation of the Mediterranean coastline. The programme included the distribution of beach ashtrays and practical advice on how to adopt environmentally-friendly practices on a daily basis.<\/p>\n
This year, the restaurant at the West End hotel – Le Si\u00e8cle – vibrated to the rhythm of the most beautiful operatic arias thanks to the Opera evenings, a unique experience which continues until March 2025. Every Friday evening, guests are invited to enjoy an exceptional dinner while marvelling at the vocal performances of opera singers. Among them are soprano Laurie Jauffret and tenor Gilles San Juan, two key figures on the C\u00f4te d’Azur music scene. These evenings, based on the concept of singing waiters, have been delighting guests since 2019.<\/p>\n
For its 10\u1d49 edition, the OVNi international video art festival took up residence in the West End, among other iconic venues in the city. From 15 November to 1 December 2024, the event deployed its theme \u2018The Great Game\u2019 through two routes, one in the city and the other in partner hotels. Sponsored by visionary architect Jacques Rougerie and featuring artist H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Delprat, OVNi transformed the hotel into an artistic showcase where video installations and visual performances amazed visitors.\u00a0<\/p>\n
In December, the H\u00f4tel West End renewed its commitment to Secours Populaire des Alpes-Maritimes with the P\u00e8res No\u00ebl Verts operation. Alongside H\u00f4tel Aston La Scala and H\u00f4tel Beau Rivage, the hotel organised a toy drive from 30 November to 11 December 2024. Guests and locals were invited to drop off cuddly toys, board games, books and other gifts, enabling underprivileged children to experience the magic of Christmas. The funds raised were used to buy new gifts. Over 1,500 toys have already been distributed each year.<\/p>\n
With its commitment to the environment, gastronomy, contemporary art and social responsibility, 2024 was a landmark year for the West End Hotel. See you in 2025 for new adventures in the heart of the C\u00f4te d’Azur.<\/p>\n

Du 13 au 27 f\u00e9vrier 2021, Nice deviendra la Capitale mondiale de la mode avec la 137e \u00e9dition du Carnaval sur le th\u00e8me \u00ab Roi des animaux \u00bb. Venez admirer le Roi, la Reine et leurs sujets et participer aux extravagants d\u00e9fil\u00e9s de chars, de grosses t\u00eates et aux \u00e9l\u00e9gantes Batailles de Fleurs.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Pendant 15 jours, le Carnaval de Nice, avec ses deux manifestations\u00a0: les Corsi carnavalesques (de jour ou de nuit) et les Batailles de fleurs, imposera son style et vous offrira un spectacle burlesque, magique et initiatique d\u00e9di\u00e9 \u00e0 la mode sous toutes ses coutures.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Les chars cr\u00e9\u00e9s sur le th\u00e8me d\u00e9fileront lors des Corsi carnavalesques (mardis, samedis et dimanche), accompagn\u00e9s de grosses t\u00eates et d\u2019artistes venant du monde entier dans une ambiance festive et populaire, savamment sc\u00e9nographi\u00e9e, pour revisiter l\u2019histoire de la mode, vous faire rire, sourire mais aussi r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir sur la mode et ses dessous. Car si la mode lance des tendances et bouleverse les codes comme les comportements, elle a aussi un r\u00f4le \u00e9thique et responsable \u00e0 jouer.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Les mercredis et samedis apr\u00e8s-midi, venez d\u00e9couvrir l\u2019autre temps du fort du Carnaval\u00a0: les Batailles de Fleurs o\u00f9 le th\u00e8me sera d\u00e9clin\u00e9 sur des chars orn\u00e9s de fleurs valorisant la production locale (80% des fleurs sont produites dans la r\u00e9gion) et anim\u00e9s par des com\u00e9diennes qui porteront des costumes sp\u00e9cialement con\u00e7us pour la manifestation. Un d\u00e9fil\u00e9 unique au monde o\u00f9 des milliers de fleurs seront distribu\u00e9es.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
