Every month, the Hotel West End**** is delighted to shine a spotlight on one of its team members through a series of questions, offering guests the opportunity to learn more about their role and what inspires them in their day-to-day work. This month, we are pleased to introduce Allef Calixto Da Silva, Storekeeper at the Hotel West End.

Could you introduce yourself?

My name is Allef, I’m 32 years old, and I’m originally from Brazil. Before joining the Hotel West End, I worked in IT in my home country. Thanks to a friend who is part of the 3A Hôtels La Collection group, I discovered the hotel and had the opportunity to join the team. I have now been working here for 11 months as the Storekeeper. On a daily basis, I manage stock levels and ensure the hotel is supplied with everything it needs. It’s an essential role that allows me to work closely with many different departments to help keep the hotel running smoothly.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

What I enjoy most is the working atmosphere and my relationships with my colleagues. Although I work independently, I am in constant contact with the hotel’s different departments. Everyone is supportive and always willing to help one another. I particularly appreciate this team spirit and the human interaction, which makes every day different and enjoyable.

What advice would you give to a new team member?

First of all, I would tell them to always be friendly, kind, and respectful towards others. In a hotel, teamwork is essential, and having a positive attitude makes all the difference. I also believe it’s important to enjoy what you do. When you’re passionate about your job, you naturally want to give your best every single day.

What is your favourite place in the Hotel West End?

I really like the lounge located at the entrance of the hotel. It’s an elegant, warm, and welcoming space. Guests enjoy relaxing there or taking a quiet break, and I think it perfectly reflects the charm and atmosphere of the West End.

What advice would you give guests to make the most of their stay?

I would encourage them to take the time to enjoy the hotel’s different spaces, especially the lounge, which is the perfect place to relax. They should also make the most of the West End’s exceptional location. The beach is just across the road, and the Promenade des Anglais is only a few steps away, making it easy to discover all the charm that Nice has to offer.
