The history and secrets of the Train des Merveilles
Inaugurated in 1928 after construction began in 1883, this railway line is considered one of the most remarkable in Europe. The journey crosses around one hundred bridges and viaducts and passes through remarkable spiral tunnels.
The train takes its name from the famous Vallée des Merveilles, linked to the Italian expression *valle delle Meraviglie*. This name refers to the mysteries and enchantments that once surrounded these legendary lands.
