Christmas in Nice: an enchanting interlude on the French Riviera from the West End Hotel

When the Christmas lights illuminate the Promenade des Anglais , Nice dons its finest festive attire. Nestled between the sea and the mountains, this French Riviera city offers a Christmas as magical as it is Mediterranean, where Provençal traditions meet the mild winter climate. Whether you're a couple, a family, or a group of friends, the holiday season in Nice promises an unforgettable experience, made even more enchanting by the prestigious setting of the Hotel West End.

What to do in Nice at Christmas?

From November 28, 2025 to January 4, 2026, the Nice Christmas Market will be set up, as it is every year, in Place Masséna, Jardin Albert 1er, and along the Promenade du Paillon. Among the chalets, handcrafted decorations, and enticing aromas, you'll find all the conviviality of the French Riviera. You can stroll among the stalls, enjoy a mulled wine, savor a traditional socca, a raclette sandwich, or some of the region's typical sweet treats.

The magic continues at the large Christmas tree on the Promenade du Paillon. As night falls, its lights are reflected in the water mirrors, creating a magical spectacle.

To admire the entire city adorned with lights, a ride on the Ferris wheel is a must. The view over the Bay of Angels, Place Masséna and the Nice hinterland is simply breathtaking.
