Every month, the Hotel West End **** features one of its employees through a series of questions, aiming to provide a better understanding of their role and what motivates them in their daily work. Today, the hotel presents Adrien Attia, Assistant Manager.
Can you introduce yourself?
Hello, my name is Adrien Attia, and I've been the assistant manager at the West End Hotel since last October, so I've been in this position for about eight months. I'm 25 years old. I'm still quite young, but I've already gained some experience in the hotel industry, a field I'm deeply passionate about.
What do you find most fascinating about your job?
What I appreciate most is the diversity and versatility of the job. No two days are the same: the tasks are varied, the challenges numerous, and we even have to travel to different departments. This wealth of experience allows me to learn continuously, which is very stimulating. It's this variety that makes my daily work so exciting.
What advice would you give to a new employee?
I would advise him to be sincere, but above all, curious. He shouldn't hesitate to ask questions, delve deeper into topics, and seize every opportunity to learn. I see every experience as a learning opportunity, and I think the West End Hotel is a very good place for that.
What is your favorite spot in the West End Hotel?
Without hesitation, the Palmeraie. It's a place I particularly love, especially early in the morning: the atmosphere is peaceful and welcoming. Then, a little later in the day, around 9 or 10 a.m., the activity gradually picks up, but the ambiance remains pleasant. It's a place where everyone starts their day with energy and a smile.
What are your best memories of the hotel?
I haven't yet had the chance to experience a full season, but one of my best memories is undoubtedly last Christmas. The preparations, the decorations, the collective effort… Every member of the team contributed their personal touch. We even had the pleasure of giving gifts to clients and colleagues. There was a real sense of magic and wonderful team spirit.
What advice would you give to guests to make the most of their stay?
Simply put: take advantage of all our services. Start with a delicious breakfast, then feel free to book a table at the restaurant – the menu is excellent, the team is fantastic, and the atmosphere is welcoming. Above all, don't hesitate to approach the staff and ask them questions: we're here to assist you and offer advice. We'll always find a way to ensure your stay is a success and that you leave with wonderful memories.
