Profile: Claire Embriaco, Deputy Sales Director, 3A Hotels The Collection

Each month, the Hotel West End**** is delighted to highlight one of its employees through a series of questions, in order to learn more about their role and what motivates them. Today, the hotel is featuring Claire Embriaco, Deputy Director of Sales at 3A Hotels La Collection .

Can you introduce yourself and tell us about your role within the 3A Hotels La Collection group?

My name is Claire. I started with the group in 2004 at Plage Beau Rivage, before joining the Hôtel Beau Rivage from 2005 to 2015. That same year, the sales departments of the establishments in the 3A collection were grouped together.

Today, I hold the position of Assistant Director of Sales for the Hotel & Residence Aston La Scala, the Hotel Beau Rivage, and the Hotel West End. I oversee the reservations department and revenue management. My role involves analyzing past performance to optimize future sales and offer the best rates for upcoming periods.

What do you find most fascinating about your job?

What I'm most passionate about is the hotel industry itself. I love the idea that people might travel long distances to stay with us, in our city and in our establishments. It's up to us to make sure their experience is unique and memorable.

How do you collaborate with the teams at the different hotels?

I work closely with the management of the facilities, with whom I regularly exchange information on the strategies to be implemented. I also collaborate extensively with the accommodation manager to ensure that everything is perfectly organized and that every detail is under control.

What advice would you give to a new employee?

I would advise him to love what he does and to fully commit to it. It is also essential to understand everyone's role, because we work as a team and each position contributes to ensuring the smooth running of the clients' stay.

What do you think is the major advantage of the 3A Hotels group for travellers?

One of our main strengths lies in the complementarity of our four establishments in Nice. We can offer different experiences: a hotel located in Old Nice with the Hotel Beau Rivage, a hotel and residence ideally located on Place Masséna with a rooftop at the Hotel Aston La Scala and of course the Hotel West End, with its Belle Époque decor and magnificent rooms with sea views.

What is your favorite spot in the West End Hotel and why?

First, there's the reception area, for its human touch: it's a vibrant place where everything happens. You see guests happy to arrive, eager to explore the hotel and settle in, but also more emotional departures, with guests satisfied with their stay and often promising to return. And then there's room 517: a room on a high floor, with modern decor and an exceptional sea view. You can hear the waves and completely immerse yourself in the landscape. I could stay there for hours, as the light changes so much throughout the day, from sunrise to sunset.

How is it different from other establishments in the group?

The West End Hotel is particularly distinguished by its location on the Promenade des Anglais. It's the only hotel in the group to offer rooms with sea views. For me, it's a place that tells a real story.

Do you have a particularly memorable or significant moment from your time in the group that you would like to share?

To be perfectly honest, there are so many that it's difficult for me to choose one in particular.

What advice would you give to guests to make the most of their stay?

I would first recommend booking a room with a sea view to fully enjoy the spectacle. Then, I would suggest exploring Old Nice by strolling through its narrow streets, and of course, not missing out on tasting socca, an unmissable local specialty.
