Portrait of Clémentine Roquebert: Executive Assistant at the West End Hotel

Each month, the Hotel West End**** is delighted to highlight one of its employees through a series of questions, in order to learn more about their role and what motivates them in their work. Today, the hotel is featuring Clémentine Roquebert, an assistant manager on a work-study program.

Can you introduce yourself?

My name is Clémentine Roquebert, and I joined the West End Hotel a little over a year ago. I'm currently pursuing a Master's degree in International Hospitality Management at the University of Nice Côte d'Azur, while working at the hotel as part of a work-study program. My official position is Executive Assistant, but my role extends far beyond that: I support all the hotel's departments. This allows me to learn something new every day and to observe the overall operations of a historic hotel like the West End.

What do you find most fascinating about your job?

What I love is the richness and diversity of daily life. No two days are alike: the pace is constantly changing, new situations are unfolding, and clients from all over the world are being met, each with their own expectations and experiences. This variety makes the job fascinating. What motivates me is being able to share this energy and these discoveries with clients, to make their stay as unique and memorable as possible.

What advice would you give to a new employee?

My advice to him would be, above all, to be curious and attentive. In the hotel industry, every detail counts. Being attentive to guests' needs allows you to anticipate their expectations and offer them a truly personalized experience. At the West End Hotel, true luxury lies in the quality of attention given to each guest.

What is your favorite spot in the West End Hotel?

I really like the atmosphere of Salon Apollon. It's an elegant yet welcoming place where clients can relax, chat, or simply enjoy a peaceful moment. There's a pool table, a library… It's a friendly space where people naturally meet.

What advice would you give to guests to make the most of their stay?

I would recommend they discover Nice like a true local. Start the day with a stroll along the Promenade des Anglais , then savor a pan bagnat overlooking the Mediterranean. In the afternoon, wander through the narrow streets of Old Nice, explore the small local shops, and end the day with a drink on the charming Old Port. And above all, don't miss the sunset from Castle Hill!
