Each month, the Hotel West End**** is delighted to highlight one of its employees through a series of questions, in order to learn more about their job and what motivates them. Today, the hotel is featuring Olga Mannoni, a receptionist at the Hotel West End.
Can you introduce yourself?
My name is Olga, and I'm a receptionist at the West End Hotel. Before joining us, I had the opportunity to work in the tourism industry in several countries, including Turkey and Dubai. I then continued my career in Nice, working in various hotels, which allowed me to gain extensive experience in hospitality and customer service. Today, my role is to assist guests throughout their stay, from arrival to departure. I welcome them, provide information, and ensure their needs are met so they have the best possible experience.
What do you find most fascinating about your job?
What I love most is the human interaction. Every guest is different, and each day brings its share of new encounters and situations. I particularly appreciate being able to help people staying at the hotel and contribute to making their stay enjoyable.
What advice would you give to a new employee?
I would advise him to enjoy interacting with others and never hesitate to ask his colleagues questions. The hotel industry is a profession where you are constantly learning, so it's important to be curious, open-minded, and eager to discover new things. Teamwork is also essential for successful career advancement.
What is your favorite spot in the West End Hotel?
My favorite place is without a doubt the Ambassador Suite. I love its elegance and especially its exceptional panoramic view of the Mediterranean Sea, the city of Nice, and the Promenade des Anglais. It's a unique place that perfectly embodies the charm of the West End Hotel.
What advice would you give to guests to make the most of their stay?
I advise them to take full advantage of the hotel's concierge services. We are here to help them organize their visits and discover the most beautiful places in the region. A stroll through Old Nice , a relaxing day on the beaches, or exploring the iconic towns of the French Riviera are all essential experiences for making the most of their stay.
