Every month, the Hotel West End**** features one of its employees through a series of questions, aiming to provide a better understanding of their role and what motivates them in their daily work. Today, the hotel presents Samuel Sam-Oeun, Account Manager within the 3A Hotels La Collection group.
Can you introduce yourself and tell us about your role within La Collection 3A Hôtels?
I am part of the sales department of La Collection 3A, which includes the Aston La Scala, Beau Rivage and West End hotels in Nice, as well as the Beau Rivage Beach. My work mainly focuses on group management for the hotels, as well as the development and organization of events at the beach.
What do you find most fascinating about your job?
What I particularly appreciate about my job is the variety of tasks and the close relationships with clients. Each project is different, with its own unique needs and expectations. The synergy between the three hotels and the Plage Beau Rivage allows us to create personalized experiences and fully contribute to the success of stays and events.
How do you collaborate with the teams at the different hotels?
Collaboration with the teams at the various establishments is essential on a daily basis. We regularly communicate with operational departments, whether it be reception, catering or event teams, to ensure smooth organization and guarantee a quality experience throughout the guests' stay.
What advice would you give to a new employee?
My primary recommendation would be to cultivate curiosity and take the time to discover the unique character of each establishment, as each possesses its own distinct atmosphere. It's also crucial to quickly build relationships with the teams, as communication and team cohesion are essential in our industry.
What do you think is the major advantage of the 3A Collection for travellers?
The strength of La Collection 3A lies in the diversity and complementarity of its properties. Travelers can enjoy different experiences between hotels and the beach, while benefiting from the same high standards and a prime location in the heart of Nice.
What is your favorite spot in the West End Hotel and why?
I particularly appreciate the rooms located on the upper floors. They offer breathtaking views of the Promenade des Anglais and the Mediterranean, in an elegant and soothing atmosphere that perfectly reflects the spirit of the French Riviera.
How is it different from other establishments in the group?
The West End Hotel stands out for its history and iconic location facing the Promenade des Anglais. It's an establishment with real personality, offering a more traditional and authentic experience.
Do you have a particularly memorable or significant moment from your time in the group that you would like to share?
One of the most memorable moments remains the organization of our first event at Plage Beau Rivage and the client's satisfaction expressed at the end of the project. This type of experience is particularly rewarding, especially when it leads to a lasting relationship and future events organized together.
What advice would you give to guests to make the most of their stay?
I would advise them to take advantage of the hotels' ideal location to explore Nice on foot, between the Promenade des Anglais, Old Nice, and the seafront. I would also recommend that they take the time to fully savor every moment of their experience, both at the hotel and at Beau Rivage Beach.
