Portrait: Yehvenia Rehan, breakfast attendant at the West End Hotel

Each month, the Hotel West End**** is delighted to highlight one of its employees through a series of questions, in order to learn more about their role and what motivates them in their work. Today, the hotel is featuring Yehvenia Rehan, a breakfast attendant at the Hotel West End .

Can you introduce yourself?

My name is Yehvenia, I'm Ukrainian, and I live in Nice. I've been working at the West End Hotel for two years in the breakfast department. I really enjoy my job here, especially thanks to my team. The atmosphere among colleagues is very important to me, as is the relationship we build with the guests every day.

What do you find most fascinating about your job?

What I'm most passionate about is human interaction. I enjoy talking with customers, and it also allows me to learn French every day. My team is a great help when I don't understand certain words or expressions. Working here allows me to grow every day while building relationships with the people who visit us.

What advice would you give to a new employee?

The first piece of advice would be to always take your work seriously and enjoy what you do. The second is to get along well with your team, because we work together to offer the best possible customer experience. It's important to keep smiling and always strive to please them.

What is your favorite spot in the West End Hotel?

I particularly love the hotel lounges. My previous hotel didn't have this kind of space, and here I find them magnificent for welcoming guests. The view is also incredible: when I'm working, I can see the sea. It's a historic hotel with a lot of charm; it almost feels like being in a museum. I love this place.

What are your best memories of the hotel?

My best memories are the ones I share every day with my team. We have a lot of great times together and there's always a good atmosphere. I don't have one particular memory that stands out, but I cherish all those little everyday moments.

What advice would you give to guests to make the most of their stay?

I would advise them to start their day with breakfast with us. Then, to enjoy the sun and the sea, which are right in front of the hotel. For those who like to walk, Old Nice is very close, and for those who prefer a bit of coolness, there are also the mountains. There is so much to discover and do here.
