Illuminations, Christmas village… Nice, time to celebrate!
Nice lives to the rhythm of events and, whatever the season, there’s always something going on in the Côte d’Azur city. Located on the Promenade des Anglais, the hotel West End, member of 3A Hôtel La Collection, is the ideal base from which to experience these highlights, as in December, with the return of the Christmas festivities.
Since the beginning of the month, Nice has been decked out in its finest lights to celebrate the festive season in style. The illuminations kicked off on 7 December! The city sparkles with the many illuminations installed everywhere and in every district. Not to be missed is the magnificent Christmas tree that has been installed on the water mirror in the coulée verte. It’s a magical sight from dusk onwards, guaranteed to make the little ones’ eyes sparkle!
As well as the illuminations, Nice is once again hosting its pretty Christmas village on the Place Massena, where 43 chalets have opened their doors. Craft products, jewellery, santons, mulled wine, raclette, churros, waffles… the Christmas market is a great opportunity to find gift ideas for the festive season, but also to immerse yourself in the Christmas atmosphere by savouring gourmet treats with friends or family. Another not-to-be-missed attraction is the Giant Ferris Wheel, which has returned to its rightful place in the Christmas village, overlooking Nice from a memorable vantage point that’s sure to catch your eye!
Throughout December and into the New Year, there’s plenty of entertainment on offer too, including a Christmas parade, music concerts, DJ sets and many other festive events to make your stay in Nice a delight. And don’t miss the festive menus created by the West End chef to celebrate Christmas and New Year’s Day.
