Portrait of Clémentine Roquebert: Executive Assistant at the West End Hotel
Each month, the Hotel West End**** is delighted to highlight one of its team members through a series of questions, in order to learn more about their role and what drives them in their daily work. Today, the hotel is proud to feature Clémentine Roquebert, Assistant Manager in a work-study program.
Could you introduce yourself?
My name is Clémentine Roquebert, and I joined the Hotel West End a little over a year ago. I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in International Hospitality Management at the Université Nice Côte d’Azur, while completing my work-study program at the hotel. My position is that of Assistant Manager, but my role goes far beyond that — I support all departments of the hotel. This allows me to learn every day and to observe the overall functioning of a historic establishment like the Hotel West End.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
What I love is the richness and diversity of everyday life. No two days are ever the same: the pace is constantly changing, new situations arise, and we meet guests from all over the world, each with their own expectations and experiences. This variety makes the profession truly fascinating. What motivates me most is being able to share this energy and sense of discovery with our guests, to make their stay as unique and memorable as possible.
What advice would you give to a new team member?
I would first and foremost advise them to be curious and attentive. In the hospitality industry, every detail matters. Being attentive to guests’ needs allows you to anticipate their expectations and offer them a truly personalized experience. At the Hotel West End, true luxury lies in the quality of the attention we give to each guest.
What is your favorite place in the Hotel West End?
I really love the atmosphere of the Salon Apollon. It’s both elegant and welcoming — a space where guests can relax, chat, or simply enjoy a peaceful moment. There’s a billiard table, a library… it’s a convivial place where connections happen naturally.
What tips would you give guests to make the most of their stay?
I would recommend discovering Nice like a true local. Start your day with a walk along the Promenade des Anglais, then enjoy a pan bagnat facing the Mediterranean. In the afternoon, wander through the narrow streets of Old Nice, explore the small local shops, and end the day with a drink at the Old Port, a place full of charm. And above all, don’t miss the sunset from Castle Hill — it’s breathtaking!
