Profile: Claire Embriaco, Deputy Sales Director at 3A Hôtels La Collection
Each month, Hôtel West End**** is delighted to spotlight one of its team members through a series of questions, offering insight into their role and what drives them in their work. Today, the hotel is pleased to feature Claire Embriaco, Deputy Sales Director within the 3A Hôtels La Collection group.
Could you introduce yourself and tell us about your role within 3A Hôtels La Collection?
My name is Claire. I joined the group in 2004 at Plage Beau Rivage, before moving to Hôtel Beau Rivage from 2005 to 2015. That same year, the sales departments of the 3A collection properties were brought together.
Today, I serve as Deputy Sales Director for Hôtel & Résidence Aston La Scala, Hôtel Beau Rivage, and Hôtel West End. I oversee the reservations department as well as revenue management. My role involves analyzing past performance in order to optimize future sales and offer the best pricing strategies for upcoming periods.
What are you most passionate about in your job?
What I’m most passionate about is hospitality itself. I love the idea that people sometimes travel long distances to stay with us, in our city and in our hotels. It’s up to us to ensure their experience is unique and memorable.
How do you collaborate with the teams across different hotels?
I work closely with the management teams of each property, with whom I regularly discuss strategies to implement. I also collaborate a great deal with the Rooms Division Manager to ensure everything is perfectly organized and that every detail is under control.
What advice would you give to a new team member?
I would advise them to love what they do and fully commit to it. It’s also essential to take an interest in everyone’s role, as we work as a team and every position contributes to the smooth running of our guests’ stay.
What do you consider to be the main strength of the 3A Hôtels group for travelers?
One of our key strengths lies in the complementarity of our four properties in Nice. We offer a variety of experiences: a hotel located in Old Nice with Hôtel Beau Rivage, a hotel and residence ideally located on Place Masséna with a rooftop at Hôtel Aston La Scala, and of course Hôtel West End, with its Belle Époque décor and beautiful sea-view rooms.
What is your favorite place at Hôtel West End and why?
First, the reception area, for its human aspect—it’s a lively space where everything happens. You see guests arriving, happy and eager to discover the hotel and settle in, as well as more emotional departures, with satisfied guests often promising to return.
Then there’s room 517: a high-floor room with modern décor and an exceptional sea view. You can hear the waves and completely lose yourself in the scenery. I could stay there for hours, watching the light change throughout the day, from sunrise to sunset.
What makes it different from the other properties in the group?
Hôtel West End stands out in particular for its location on the Promenade des Anglais. It is the only property in the group to offer sea-view rooms. To me, it’s a place that tells a real story.
Do you have a particularly memorable moment from your time within the group that you’d like to share?
To be completely honest, there are so many that it’s difficult to choose just one.
What advice would you give guests to make the most of their stay?
First, I would recommend booking a sea-view room to fully enjoy the scenery. Then, I would suggest exploring Old Nice by wandering through its narrow streets—and of course, not missing a taste of socca, an essential local specialty.
