Each month, Hotel West End**** is delighted to shine a spotlight on one of its team members through a series of questions, offering a closer look at their role and what inspires them in their day-to-day work. Today, the hotel is proud to feature Yehvenia Rehan, a breakfast staff member at Hotel West End.

Could you introduce yourself?

My name is Yehvenia, I’m Ukrainian and I live in Nice. I’ve been working at Hotel West End for two years in the breakfast department. I really enjoy my job here, especially because of my team. The atmosphere among colleagues is very important to me, as well as the relationships we build with guests every day.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

What I enjoy the most is the human connection. I like interacting with guests, and it also allows me to improve my French every day. My team helps me a lot whenever I don’t understand certain words or expressions. Working here allows me to grow every day while creating meaningful connections with the people who visit us.

What advice would you give to a new team member?

My first piece of advice would be to always do your work with dedication and to enjoy what you do. The second is to build good relationships with your team because we work together to provide the best possible experience for our guests. It’s important to keep smiling and always strive to make guests happy.

What is your favorite place at Hotel West End?

I especially like the hotel lounges. In my previous workplace, there weren’t spaces like these, and here I find them beautiful for welcoming guests. The view is also incredible — while I work, I can see the sea. It’s a historic hotel with a lot of charm; it almost feels like being in a museum. I love this place.

What are your best memories at the hotel?

My best memories are the ones I create every day with my team. We share many great moments together, and there’s always a positive atmosphere. I don’t have one specific memory, but I truly appreciate all those small everyday moments.

What advice would you give guests to make the most of their stay?

I would recommend starting the day with breakfast with us. Then, enjoy the sunshine and the sea just across from the hotel. For those who enjoy walking, Old Nice is very close by, and for those who prefer a bit of freshness, there are also the mountains. There’s so much to discover and do here.
